The big build up with Minecraft

It's good to be back! There's a lot gone on since my last bloggings. New games, new Xbox apps, but no sight of any new consoles, which in the present financial markets is probably a good thing.
And so, as with all things I must once again build my blogging rep from the ground up, and what better place to start than Minecraft!
Minecraft the Mojang classic that gripped the PC gaming World, finally came to Xbox Arcade in June. How popular it proved too.. selling like hot block shaped cakes. There's possibly no one out there who hasn't got this or got an XBL friend who has it. It's simple and it's weirdly addictive, dig, build, plant trees, chop trees, mine materials, and even bake cakes.... oh and let's not forget riding a minecart or mixing it up with the locals. The game can be played in a number of various difficulty levels, "peaceful" contains no scary locals, whilst "Hard" puts you against roaming Zombies, arrow firing Skeletons, Spiders, Slimes, and Creepers!
Believe me even as a grown man, there's nothing as scary as (except Geri Haliwell on X-Factor) strolling through the forest and coming face to face with a CREEPER!!!! Hiss, bang and two seconds later I'm lying dead in a large crater. Venturing down into the dark caverns that scatter the landscape are equally as heart stopping, so pack plenty of torches. Fancy a change of rainy, wintery or summery picturesque scenery then build a netherportal, and visit the hellish world of the zombie pig men!
The conclusion is, 4 player split screen, up to 8 friends, then a  good imagination = lots of value from Minecraft for your 1600 MSP.

Get a gang of your mates over to your map and build till your hearts content.  8/10
