So the Wii U has a tablet controller?
Hey, Xbox 360 gamer, don't look so down! So has your Xbox!
Well, provided you have your own smartphone or tablet device, and if you answered yes, then it won't cost you a penny! Yes, those clever folk at Microsoft have come up with a FREE App called "SmartGlass". It allows you to browse your Xbox content with the swipe of a finger from your chosen device. DO NOT get carried away! It seems pretty much a beta devolpment at the moment, supporting only a handful of gaming titles, that allow things such as a map shown on your device whilst playing. If you watch a film via Xbox, your tablet/phone will give a brief synopsis of the film you are viewing. On the plus side, you can access Friends info, Send messages, Edit your avatar, View history and achievements. I really think this could be the start of something really special. With the new Xbox looming on the horizon (June announcement), this could be a cost cutter. Buy the console, connect your own tablet device. No broken tablets being replaced for £300 a piece! Keep an eye on this SmartGlass app, its not what it doesn't do, it's the potential of what it will eventually do.
Xbox Xblog, what you see is what you get! A good dose of Xbox blogging - Whats happening in the World of Xbox , to whats happening in the World. It's a World of pain, a World of gain, but always a World of Microsoft's Xbox Gaming. Oh, and other nonsense now and again! :)
